As part of the implementation of the work plan of the Scientific Society of Otorhinolaryngologists and Audiologists of the East Kazakhstan Region, meetings, seminars, and surgical councils were held to introduce modern technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of ENT diseases.

During the meetings and seminars, specialists discussed current issues in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of ENT diseases. Particular attention was paid to the genetic risk factors for hearing loss and the possibilities of genetic diagnostics in identifying predisposition to hearing impairments. The role of hereditary mutations in the development of sensorineural hearing loss, modern DNA testing methods, and their significance for early detection and a personalized approach to patient treatment were discussed.
