On April 23–24, 2026, the юбилейный V International Multidisciplinary Congress “Current Issues in Practical Otorhinolaryngology. Common Aspects in Neurology and Otorhinolaryngology” was held in Almaty.

The event brought together leading specialists from Kazakhstan and other countries to discuss modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of ENT diseases, audiology, otoneurology, and interdisciplinary disorders.

Special attention during the scientific program was given to the early detection of rare diseases. A lecture on alpha-mannosidosis and hearing loss in audiology practice was presented, covering clinical manifestations of the disease, patient pathways, and modern diagnostic approaches.

The congress became an important platform for professional knowledge exchange, strengthening international collaboration, and increasing awareness of rare diseases among healthcare professionals.
